Centre for Youth Development in an outstanding meeting of volunteers, youth activists and media persons unanimously resolved to work against the growing menace of Corruption in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
The issue was discussed threadbare as to what leads to such humongous proliferation of corrupt practices in civil and other government departments.
It was laid down that CYD will form a team of researchers who will conduct a thorough study revolving round the measures to curb and tackle corruption. CYD will also impress upon the state government to strengthen the anti-corruption laws to eradicate this menace. It was also brought to discussion that the proper awareness and implementation of Right to Information Act, 2009 will ensure decline in corruption. It was also resolved to enlighten his Excellency Governor of Jammu and Kashmir about the recent amendments in the RTI rules.
Also it has been unanimously decided to take up the case study of back door entries in Kashmir University and the mode of recruitment in Jammu and Kashmir Bank. It was resolved to start campaigns from schools to raise awareness among youth about growing corruption and preparing them to fight against the menace.
